Cozy and inviting atmosphere with very nice and attentive staff. The food is delicious, with a focus on sourdough bread, which they make in-house. There’s an open kitchen, and you can see everything being prepared in front of you. My favourite is the kimchi toast, but everything we tried was great. The drinks were also really good - especially the kefir water, which was super refreshing! Will definitely visit again!

Lovely little café/brunch, the design is very cool. The service was really attentive even if they were very full. I liked what I ordered, maybe having a few more options would be nice, but the bread and the fermented topping was delicious. My sister had the cheese plate, I think that one could be improved, in our opinion it was too less cheese but also the bread and jam were tasty.

This café has a fantastic concept, and the food is absolutely phenomenal—especially the baked goods, which are truly mouthwatering! Although the prices are a bit high, it’s great that they accept Lunchchecks. With its quality and atmosphere, it definitely has the potential to become my favorite café spot!

So happy to have tried Irma, a new cafe located in a quiet area next to Bezirksgebäude, offering both a seating area with tables and two counters - in case you want more privacy. I tried because they are specialised in fermentation, both of bread and beverages (such as kefir). I was finally happy to see a cafe offering soy milk (considering 80% of places offer oat as only variety or pea - which is really good and neutral in taste, but mostly also added with oils). Anyways, bread tasted good and it came with cheese (the only dairy product they have) coming from a local shop in front. I was happy to see (finally) fruit compotes with different fruits than raspberries ( I am allergic and in other cafes I have to exclude a lot of options). The overnight oats were the best I have tried. Really original, and I hope they keep them so rich in flavour and ingredients. Mine had strawberries, blueberries, caramelised hazelnuts (really tasty!) and the oven compote (not sure what it entailed, but not raspberries :)). The bowl was very generous. It was refreshing, nourishing and healthy. The brioche with vegan vanilla spread and blueberry was also good, but after having the oats and bread and cheese plate, it wasn’t really needed. So I struggled to finish it and perhaps it was a bit too heavy in the filling (so much that I wish I could have tasted the brioche itself), but the taste was there. Next time I’d like to try their matcha, which, based on the color I saw, seems to be of a good quality. If you arrive before 10am you have better chances of finding a table. I definitely recommend and hope to see this quality also in the future!

On our weekly quest to find interesting cafés in Zürich, we stumbled across Irma. Originally we only came for coffee, not to eat anything however when we saw the menu and the love and detail that goes into making every single piece, we decided to get the Sauerteigbrioche mit Ofenkompott. Not too sweet interesting umami taste and the Miso Vanille Creme was to die for. Will be back, loved the cozy interior, staff also speaks good English. In nice weather there are small tables outside.

I had breakfast at Café Irma and absolutely loved it! The vibe is amazing – modern, stylish, and gave me that cozy Copenhagen feeling. I ordered the Kimchi Toast with an Iced Matcha Latte – both were super delicious and full of flavor. Their sourdough bread definitely lives up to the hype – it’s incredible! The place was quite busy (which says a lot!), and since you can’t make a reservation, we had to wait about 10 minutes – but it was totally worth it. The only downside was that we got a bit forgotten at times due to how packed it was, so we had to remind the staff a couple of times when ordering. Still, everyone was kind and doing their best. Overall: A fantastic new spot with amazing food and great vibes – I’ll definitely be back!

Such a lovely cafe with extremely friendly staff and owners. We visited Zürich for a weekend break and stumbled upon a hidden gem. The food is plant based and cooked with passion. Their specialty breads are some of the best I’ve tasted. Make it worth your while to visit and experience what Irma has to offer.
